Micah's got the "teaching" gene

On our way to Micah's Tennis lesson today, we passed McDonalds. Malachi began to beg from the back seat for, what has here-to been called "O-Donalds" by Malachi. "Please go to O-Donalds, Mommy!"

Instead of joining in the request, Micah astutely informs Malachi that it's proper pronunciation is "Mc-Donalds." Micah went on with the lesson. "Can you say, 'Mic'?"

"Mic," Malachi mimicked.

"Dah," Micah continued.

Malachi played along, "Dah."

"On-alds," Micah finished.

"McDonalds," Malachi said perfectly.

Like a professional, Micah praised Malachi for his success.

He later perfected Malachi's pronunciation of "lollipop."

To be honest, I was really impressed with Micah's patience and natural ability (and inclination) to teach. I can understand, a little better, John's pride in Malachi's uncanny ability to play basketball. Chips off the old blocks!
