Micah's First Piano Recital!!

Micah, waiting for his turn to play.

There were eighteen young performers -- three boys and the rest girls.
He was also the youngest. We were proud. :)

My storage space ran out half-way through Micah's recital.  I was so upset!  It got so cute.  But here is the beginning.  Micah was the first one to perform.  His piece was called "Catch Me."

More Togetherness

Backyard ball with the neighbors...

Frick and Frack.  Two peas in a pod.  Double trouble.

These two just have some kind of connection.  And it usually means trouble.... and a lot of belly laughter.

A Visit to Grandpa's

Well, in order to fish at Grandpa's, you need bait.  And an untilled garden in Iowa-farm-country is a great place to find night crawlers.  Blech!

Playing at Grandpa's.

One of the many faces of Mathias.  He's just so full of personality.  And chubby cheeked.

Following Grandpa to the "man cave."  I'm not allowed in there.

Again with the faces. Adore.

Spring basics

With the warmer weather this year, we've been enjoying the outdoors for months now.  The first thing the boys wanted to do is have a picnic on the deck.  Christmas lights twined around the railing and patio furniture still in hibernation, the boys blissfully inhaled their crackers and cheese.

Brown grass, cool sand, and the warm sun beating down on their backs.  This was March 2012.

One of the best parts of warmer weather in Minnesota is when the neighbors start emerging from their dens and old friendships are re-established.
