Mathias turns two!

I'm sure I took more pictures of the other boys' two-year-old parties. But I'll remember this one. Pink basketball cupcakes, grandma, and some brothers. That's really all you need to celebrate a two-year-old's birthday. :)
Happy birthday my sweet-pea. You are a character. You make me smile every day.
No, you make me laugh every day... not even a giggle laugh. You make me throw my head back - mouth wide open - ear to ear - was I the only one who saw that - LAUGH.
I adore you, Mathias Pax. I praise God for you. Your uniqueness somehow brings me peace.

Football is contageous?

Mathias and Malachi play all. the. time. Micah has even joined in lately. It leaves the question to be asked... IS football contageous? In our house, it is. You've been warned.

Personality!

Watch mathias trying to mouth the words! Hilarious.

Dog-sitting

We bartered for the opportunity to watch my sister's dog for the week that her and her husband vacationed in Jamaica. He is such a sweet dog. Fletcher is a beautiful black-and-white cocker spaniel. He's actually a puppy. He got to sleep in Micah and Malachi's room and he was the highlight of every day he was here.

However, we are NOT going to be getting a dog for our house. :) It was a great learning experience.

Malachi tried to teach Fletcher how to play fetch....

Malachi turns FOUR!

Malachi had his Fourth Birthday October 18th. (I'm a little slow on the updates!) He has a football party -- Shocking, I know. He had some friends come over to play football...

...including girls. Who's to discriminate? Amelia wears helmets and uses a pink ball! She's a keeper!

A Little Malachi and Mathias

Mathias is such a character these days. He's so animated and silly. He is always up for a game and quick to laugh at something new. He's so lovey and sweet and helpful.... However, he's very much a rascal with a will of his own. (He is almost two).

Lately he's really been into puzzles. He finds it very satisfying to have things fit exactly in the place that they go. He also loves books. He'll climb into his chair and quietly look at books all by himself.

My boys keep me smiling all day. I am a very blessed mom.

I'm cute. No?

Mathias wears everyones shoes. He puts them on himself and walks around the house. He thinks it is very funny.

All Malachi wants to do is play football. Inside or outside. When he plays with cars, they line up and run into eachother. When he plays with tinker toys, he creates a goal post. As I was showing him how to write his numbers the other day, he turned the number four into a goal post by moving the line at the bottom right to the middle... (can you see it?)

I was reading a book to Mathias and pointing out the colors to him. Malachi stopped me to point out that the colors on one side were all Jackrabbit colors and the colors on the other side were Packer colors. 'Obsessed' doesn't even do it justice.

For his Fourth birthday we will be having a football party for Malachi. And he will receive another football helmet, a mouthguard, and football pants. It is all he has requested.

Malachi and his football. You'd think he was posing for his Senior pictures here.

Mathias and his smile. Quite a pair. You can't miss his dance moves here though. Priceless.
